Audiopoints are installed at Blagdon Pumping Station
Blagdon Pumping Station houses four massive steam engines which used to pump water from Blagdon Lake to Bristol City. Today the pumps and the beautiful gothic buildings are preserved by Bristol Water and are open to the public every Sunday.
Paul Kelson (PR Manager) and Jeremy Williams (Head of Corporate Affairs) are passionate about the Victorian site and as a result, have been developing the buildings and grounds for people of all ages to enjoy. A museum and theatre have been created, the huge engines are preserved in all their glory and walks can be enjoyed around the grounds.
To improved the interpretation within the museum and pump hall, three Audiopoints have been installed. The Audiopoints were chosen for the project for their flexibility, ease of installation and low cost. The text and audio can be updated at any time by inhouse staff. As they are not fixed they can be relocated and used for different exhibitions in the future.
Audiopoints are ideal for fixed and temporary exhibitions to play any type or audio information such as oral history recordings, stories, poems, life stories and exhibit information. With the option of having a speaker or handset, 4 to 8 buttons, a battery powered option and a removable text panel, Audiopoint is ideal for your next audio project.
