POPguide Features
- Memory - The built-in 256MB memory provides approximately 8 hours of audio. By expanding the memory, over 100 hours of content can be stored.
- Languages - POPguide supports any number of languages up to the limit of the memory.
- Linear or Random tour operation - POPguide can be setup to allow visitors to follow a tour in a linear fashion or randomly, selecting audio tracks that relate to exhibits that interest them.
- LCD Screen - The backlit blue LCD screen clearly shows the name or number of the track selected.
- Built in speaker - POPguide has a built-in speaker. By adjusting the volume, a user can decide to hold it to their ear or in front of them.
- Headphones - Two headphone outputs are provided to allow two people to listen. A variety of single or dual ear headphones are available.
- Software - No proprietary software or content management software is required to maintain POPguide. POPguide can be maintained and updated using a MAC or PC. Updating POPguide is simply a matter of naming and copying files, a process very similar to copying files from one file to another on a computer.
- Batteries - POPguide is powered by two rechargeable AA batteries or a single Lithium Ion Battery. For small installations, single chargers are available. For larger installations, a portable charger capable of holding 30 POPguides is available.
- Stereo Playback - High quality stereo recordings can be played using POPguide when used with headphones. Using stereo information, rich content can be played that engages your audience. Insects, birds and people, for example, can move across the audio field from left to right. This type of imagery makes a story more interesting, believable and engages the audience.
Two types of battery charger are available:
- Single chargers for small installations
- Modular chargers allow your audio guide system to grow.
